A Black Feather, A poison pen... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had to teach those birds over there not to park in front of our house I got a kitten today. She is small, slender (almost like a Sphinx-cat). she needs some remedial litter training. I will have to borrow one of Nancy's littlerbox leavings from my brother's cat to help insure that little Tonya (bit of a blather-related inside joke) knows for certain that shit goes there too. characteristic of being the playful little thing that my co-worker told me she is, she is now fully engaged in that instinctive young feline pastime known as kitty-freak-out-time, careening off of walls and other surfaces, knocking down any unsecured fragiles, making strange vocalizations, jumping and running after the slightest hint of movement (including her own shadow) and attempting to completely re-shuffle the contents of her litter-box. of course the only great drag is that i will have to now keep an eye on certain hard-to reach parts of my house to make sure that that she doesn't leave me any more little brown gifts that will require a couple hours drying time and a garden hoe to scoop out freak-out round one is apparently in intermission as she has now curled up by my feet and is cleaning herself. she is only about three months old, give or take a couple of weeks or so, depending on how things shake loose, i may be getting her near-adult sister as well and i think that might ease how neurotic Tonya is about me stepping out of the house. (i had to go to the front house for about fifteen minutes this evening to get some dinner and she was in kitty-hysterics by the time i got back, crying abjectly at the screen door while trying to climb it). She has vaguely discernible tabby stripes against the black of her coat, down to the little "M" on her forehead 1:00 a.m. - 2003-07-27 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
