A Black Feather, A poison pen... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ramblings to close the year Spent last night watching The Buena Vista Social Club... wonderful music, i may need to buy the CD now... other than that, spent a lot of time just feeling a variety of aches from whatever has been wreaking havoc with my system...feel a lot better today, but figured it for the best to stay home from the office, not sure going out tonight would be all that sharp of an idea either. i just hope none of the pendejos in the area start shooting their guns into the air tonight. i'm halfway tempted to anonymously phone the cops (much as i normally dislike them around here) on a pre-emptive basis and let them know that there would be dumbasses ripe for the picking around here. the reason i say this is that we have a law in the state that came about after a kid got killed by a bullet on its downward path about three yers ago after some lamebrained fucknut thought that popping off a shot into the air would be a good way to celebrate something or other. of course none of these fucking geniuses ever stops to think that what goes up must eventually come back down somewhere... of course, year before last, there was a bit of poetic justice when one of these morons actually got caught by his own bullet and severely wounded., and of course, with most hospital protocols dictating that all bullet wounds must be reported to the police, it didn't take long to figure out that he had been shooting, so while they let the guy skate on the jail time, in light of his injuries, they fined him pretty steeply... can't say i feel sorry for him. i wish the Icehouse was still around, i'm sure they would have something cool going on if they were, and sick or no, i might would go. 1:10 p.m. - 2002-12-31 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
