A Black Feather, A poison pen...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a drop in a bucket in a sea

I only worked 4 hours this week... monday will require some adjustment as i imagine the workload will be back in full swing with the last of this nearly universal post-holiday torpor evaporating and everyone strapping their motivational hats firmly in place.

Fuck... just realized that in this evening's grocery shopping, i forgot the snacks again... grr... the only sure source of anything sugary i have in case of a low episode are the two quart-cartons of Caf Latte Silk

spent yesterday wandering the streets, people-watching, was sorely disappointed that none of the people who crossed my path on my little sojourn through the city or the streets seemed really worthy of any observation... i was drowning in non-descriptness and banality and it was rather frightening, i could feel myself becoming one with it so ultimately, after conquering part of the feeling with the aid of a couple of cocktails at an eatery where a number of the city's notable personalities can sometimes be spotted (though lately i think anyone's notability around these parts is somewhat dubious)

finally, being in no mood to contend with the world any further, i went home, engaged in a little more virtual violence, pondered whether or not the Novel might be in need of another complete re-write and spun my most recent musical acquisitions as all of these events unspooled.

Newest adds to the playlist:

The Damned Grave Disorder

Division of LauraLee Black City

Paul Oakenfold Bunkka

thanks to the newly resurrected VCR, i was able to dig up my copy of cronenberg's rendition of Naked Lunch which while not a great film, i find hypnotically bizarre, i think possibly the only person who could have made this movie any more surreal would have been David Lynch

i think my next DVD purchase will be TITUS one because i like it, and two, because i need to balance my collection a little bit more to counter the volume of cinematic fast-food currently on my shelf ( i love a good spectacle, but even then, sometimes i need something a bit more substantive...)

that is all for the moment
