A Black Feather, A poison pen...

hummingbirds whove lost the plot

Took my brother's kids to the movies, saw Shrek< 2 and Van Helsing this past Saturday afternoon, it was a good time, expensive, though.

$48 total for admission prices, $25 more on concessions and then 19 more, including the tip at the ice cream place near the theatre

I liked Shrek 2, there were moments where i definitely identified with the character which wasn't always a good feeling, but if anything speaks to how well defined the characters are...and while i am generally fond of big, loud spectacle films, i can only give Van Helsing a slightly enthusistic "thumbs in the middle but leaning slightly up"

Work is pretty much as it has always been, a little progress here, a little frustration there, no new developments on any fronts around the office

Songs of the day:

  • Modest Mouse - world at large

  • The Smiths - I know it's over

  • Danzig - Anything

  • The Cure - Closedown

Tomorrow makes 15 years since i graduated from high-school, and as much of a chore as getting through all of the bullshit affiliated with the high-school experience was, each day since then except for a handful of good ones, some of the really debauched ones and the really blurry ones have felt like decades unto themselves

i am gradually conceding my disqualification from some of my aspirations. It's that same knowledge that tempers my willingness to venture too fsr out of my shell
