A Black Feather, A poison pen... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- snap krackle grrrrrrrrrr drinking tea with honey, voice hoarse and deepened by the rasping. fingernails repeatedly digging into palms. got some work done today, assisting the Grey Lady. Was a rare thing to see her moved from her usual slightly harried but otherwise calm, joking self to tears brought on by the sight of our battered and bruised co-worker...(the Grey Lady) recounted to me a story of an incident where her father turned his temper from her mother directly to her and that after the worst of these incidents, in her usual feistiness she threatened to gut him with a kitchen knife while he slept if he hever did it again. Difficult to get in to the weekend frame of mind with this. brighter things in store.... one of the small clutch of family birthdays that inhabits this month, possibly the Art Detour on sunday The bosses sent the girl home for the day to recover (accompanied - to be safe)... she's headed for the Rez to bring down her boy and i guess the trouble-maker is, for the moment, in custody with the cops wanting to ask her some questions (presumably to take a statement and get her to press charges) once she gets back here...hey, so long as her and the kid are at least reasonably safe, i'm a happy enough guy... i still want to maim the guy....reaction in the office is fairly unanimous on that one. i will have to turn to a means to work out my aggressions ooposite to what politicnas would have us believe...after i take a nice long walk an do a little shadow boxing, i will fire up the PS2 and indulge in a little consequence-free video carnage... later people end of line 5:30 p.m. - 2003-03-07 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
