A Black Feather, A poison pen... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hell is around the corner A friday in the office comes to it's end. about fucking time gorcery shopping and housecleaning re the next orders of the day. had things relatively tidy in the general interior of "casa del dumbass" until i lost my keys this morning, and while i knew where the spare housekeys were, this keyring also had the keys to my cabinets in my cube at work and while there was nothing terribly important from a professional standpoint, my tins of soup and packets of tea were in there so lunch was a bit of a scrape today i overspent a bit yesterday, went to Tower after going with my usual bud to the movies to check out Darkness Falls Not a terrible film actually, you get the feeling the director is less concerned with his characters, which is a weak point. but he definitely delivers in the execution. The premise was silly, but the atmospherics were carried off well enough that i was willing to forgive it that problem. among the items i picked up at tower was a Fields of the Nephilim live+video DVD, Wings of Desire on VHS (because goddamnit it's still not out on DVD yet and i haven't seen it in so long)... I passed over replacing the Depeche Mode in my colection in favor of Massive Attack's Mezzanine..which after repeated listenings today is something i definitely do not regret. ideally i think i would like to listen to that one, and Blue Lines along with my Tricky discs just lying in the dark with a few candles and (goddamn these cravings) a fresh pack of cloves, staring at the smoke curling towards the ceiling, aware of nearly nothing except the tranquil beats and a sense of ease. i think when i have a couple of hours to spare i will do just that 6:01 p.m. - 2003-01-31 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
